Well the World Cup is over now for another 4 years.
Germany beat Argentina to be crowned the World Champions and deservedly so after their incredible 7-1 thrashing of the host team Brazil.
There were many great games and several unexpected early leavers such as Spain and England.
Louis Suarez did his world famous biting thing and promptly loss his place at Liverpool FC and another Liverpool player Steven Gerrard has announced his retirement from international football.
A shame he has retired after the worst performance by England ever, not really going out on a high is it?
The World Cup is a big World event which brings a lot of people together and a lot of revenue to the country where it is held.
It would seem as much as this year’s tournament was a success it was also a failure for many of the starving Brazilians and the political opposition and opinion was voiced on the streets of Brazil using the medium of spray paint art.
Unfortunately for Brazil, many of the locals did not want it, poverty is rife, and violent street crime is a way of life for much of the population and watching the Government spending countless millions on football stadiums for the World Cup was seen as a slap in the face while they went hungry.
Many parts of Brazil were cleared to build new stadiums and road networks for the event with one bridge unfortunately collapsing and killing people.
