A 30 foot deep hole in a a river might be deep enough for diving but if it was surrounded by killer rocks would you jump from a height into it? No? Me neither but that is what the locals do.
A“karstic spring” in the Texas Hill Country called Jacob’s well located northwest of Wimberley in Texas is a 30 foot hole where people gather to … jump into it!
The well was discovered in the 1850s, the well feeds into the local Cypress Creek and settlers discovered it when they went looking for the Creek’s source. I do wonder if the people who discovered it… jumped in too!
It does look fun but after hearing that the well gets more dangerous the deeper it goes and that there have been 9 deaths at the well in recent years I for one think I will pass and allow the locals to carry on with their crazy Insane hobby as seen in the video at the bottom of this post!
